Who Is Justin Trudeau?

In her 1957 novel, Ayn Rand asks "who is John Galt?" John Galt is acknowledged to be a creator, philosopher, and inventor who symbolizes the power and glory of the human mind. He serves as a principled counterpoint to the collectivist social and economic structure depicted in the novel.

Justin Trudeau is the anti-Galt.

Born on Christmas Day in 1971, Justin Trudeau is the son of Pierre Trudeau, a former Prime Minister and Margaret Trudeau, a bi-polar hippie that did drugs and fucked Ted Kennedy and Ronnie Wood while still married to Pierre. Justin's parents separated when he was seven.

Justin supported the Liberal Party right from the get-go. He defended the centralization of the federal government's power even as a teenager in a Quebec high-school. He went to McGill where he earned his BA and then his Bachelor of Education from the University of British Columbia. After graduating, he taught at a government high school in Vancouver.

In 2002 he returned to Montreal to study engineering at Université de Montréal. He began a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Geography at McGill University before dropping out to become a politician.

In 2005 he married super-model and television host Sophie Grégoire. Ben Mulroney (son of Brian Mulroney, Pierre Trudeau's "rival") was a guest at Justin Trudeau's wedding.

Justin Trudeau is a strict federalist. He supports the federal government's superiority and centralization and denounces any deviation from this as "based on a smallness of thought." He regards Quebec nationalism as an "old idea from the 19th century" and not relevant for today's discussion. Despite this, he is also quoted as saying that if Harper remains Prime Minister, Quebec oughta separate. He generated a lot of heat for this.

Always a member of the Opposition, Trudeau has introduced a private member bill that defines him as an obvious fascist. "A national voluntary service policy for young people," which is basically an expansion of his father's Katimavik program. He also supports foreign aid, as if it actually does something helpful.

He's been the Party's critic for multiculturalism, youth, citizenship, and immigration. He is currently the critic for Post Secondary Education, Youth and Amateur Sport. Why the federal government is concerned with amateur sport is beyond me.

On October 2, 2012, Trudeau launched his run for the leadership of the Liberal Party. If his past voting record is of any indication, his policies won't be much different from any other bureaucrat politician: tax and spend. Regulate and destroy civilization while claiming to be its saviour. Indoctrinate children into the civic religion through government-run schools. Etc., etc.

But does any of this really get down to the core of who Justin Trudeau is? What about his inner circle of Party elites and crony capitalists? From this perspective it's obvious who Justin Trudeau is: he's a face. A handsome, well-spoken puppet for a technocratic elite hellbent on acquiring more power for themselves while impoverishing the rest of us. Who is Justin Trudeau? He's our Barack Obama.
